Davao Light's values program targets in/out-of-school youth |

A project of Davao Light & Power Co. intended to develop the right values for both the in-school and out-of-school youth is now on its 9th year and is observed to have a great impact on the lives of the beneficiaries..
This came about as the Aboitiz-owned electric utility distributing power in Davao City and nearby Panabo, Carmen, Dujali and Sto. Tomas in Davao del Norte, opened last Thursday, August 26, its Outland Adventure Camp Year 9 at a facility in Barangay Langub along Diversion Road. A total of 156 public high school students, some 26 juvenile in conflict with the law, and 24 teacher, 4 social worker chaperons are beneficiaries of this project for entire school year 2010-2011.

The secondary education of at least ten (10) young male wards at the Davao City’s Welfare Action Foundation, Inc. more popularly known as Boys Town in Maa remains ensured this school year even amidst rising incidence of poverty. This after the Aboitiz-owned electric utility Davao Light & Power Co. turned over Wednesday, August 25, its financial assistance of P150 thousand for the boys shelter institution at the Boys Town compound in Ma-a, Davao City. The support is now on its 10th year run.

 Aboitiz-owned electric utility Davao Light and Power Company finds a unique way of joining the officials of barangay Mandug in Buhangin district in the celebration of their Araw ng Barangay last Saturday, August 7, 2010.
This was done by helping provide medicines in their medical and dental outreach project conducted at the barangay covered court that started in the morning and lasted way after lunch.
