Davao Light Call Center now available 24/7

Davao Light and Power Co. Inc.'s Call Center Service is now available to serve customers 24/7 starting December 1, 2016.


Davao Light's move to extend the operations of the Call Center Service beyond office hours was intended to cater all types of Davao Light services aside from the emergency concerns.

Having a 24/7 Call Center Service will ensure our customers that Davao Light is always available to provide the assistance that they need.” said Davao Light AVP for Retail Services Group Arnold Arsolon.

Davao Light releases an Olive Ridley back into the sea

Last October 25, 2016, Davao Light and Power Company together with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) released a Pawikan known to be an Olive Ridley back into the sea at the Cleanergy Park in Punta Dumalag, Matina Aplaya, Davao City.


The said turtle was found by local fishermen last October 18, 2016. According to them, the turtle was closely following their fishing boat in Davao Gulf. After noticing a small dent or crack on the turtle's shell or carapace, the fishermen decided to catch the turtle with the fear that it may get more damage while in the sea. The fishermen then quickly handed over the turtle to the Cleanergy Park through Fermin Edillon, Davao Light Community Relations Manager.

Davao Light inaugurates 27th substation in Maa, Davao City

With the real-estate and shopping mall boom in the southern part of Davao Light and Power Co.'s franchise, demand for electricity has also increased indicating a need for additional power within the said area.


As answer to this ongoing development and various business activities specifically in the Davao City's downtown and Maa areas, Davao Light inaugurated its new 33MVA Maa Substation last October 28.

MOA Signing with DESEMULCO

Davao Light and Power Company, Aboitiz Foundation Inc., Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Region XI and the Philippine Baking Institute signed a Memorandum of Agreement to train members of the Davao Ecoland Small Entrepreneurs Multi-purpose Cooperative (DESEMULCO), Association of Differently-abled Person (ADAP) Multi-Purpose Cooperative, and the Sunshine Arba Multipurpose Cooperative (SAMPCO) in Baking and Pastry last October 18, 2016 at the Davao Light Ponciano Office.
