Emergency power interruption on March 6 in the northern part of Davao City

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct an emergency switching power interruption on March 6, 2024, Wednesday, affecting customers in the northern part of Davao City. This disruption is necessary to conduct repairs at the R. Castillo Substation.

 

The switching power interruption will be for 1 hour to 2 hours anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. to facilitate the transfer of loads to the nearby Pampanga Substation and avoid a longer power interruption. 

 

Specifically affected are customers from Lanang, along Grand Regal Hotel, South Bay, and Azuela Cove, Bo. Pampanga, Brgy. Hizon to Sasa km. 9, 10 , 11, 12, and 13.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by this emergency power interruption. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.

 

Safety is of paramount importance to the company and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity area/s where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
