Davao Light turns over electrical laboratory to Paquibato National High School

Davao Light and Power Company in partnership with the Aboitiz Foundation Inc. officially turned over an electrical laboratory (e.Lab) to Paquibato National High School on January 20, 2017 in Paquibato, Davao City.

The e.Lab, which is in support to DepEd's K to 12 Curriculum, is for the learners who will be taking up Electrical Installation and Maintenance (EIM) Course.

TESDA will then issue National Certification (NC) 2 or Certificate of Competency (COC) to the passers of the course, which can be used as documentation in applying for gainful employment after they finish high school.

During the turn over ceremony, Davao Light's Community Relations Manager, Fermin Edillon together with Congressman Mylene Garcia of District II handed the symbolic key that was accepted by the School Administrator, Lorna A. Castanares, with the school faculty, students, and barangay officials.

We are thankful and we appreciate Davao Light's effort and support in choosing schools that are located in far flung areas.” Congresswoman Garcia said.

Paquibato National High School is roughly 55 kilometers from the down town area of Davao City or 2.5 hours travel.

Seven (7) more implemented e.Lab Projects will be turned over before the school year 2016-2017 ends.
