Davao Light and Power Company

Last October 13, 2017, Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. conducted a Kuryentalks to the residents of Brgy. Sto. Niño, Mintal, Davao City. Representatives from Davao Light were present to talk about Electrical Safety, Pilferage, and Streetlights and Electric posts.

An open forum followed wherein the participants raised their concerns and queries about Davao Light.

Davao Light will continue to visit various barangays to educate residents about the company and its services.

 

Electrical Safety. Engr. Abner Libumfacil from Davao Light Occupational Safety, Security, Health and Environment Department gives the dos and don'ts when working that involves electricity and near power lines especially in construction sites. Majority of the electrocution incidents that Davao Light has recorded for the year are construction-related.

 

Theft of Electricity. Davao Light Revenue Protection Department Supervisor Engr. Leo Apalisoc orients the residents of Brgy. Sto. Niño, Mintal, Davao City about Republic Act 7832 or the Anti-Pilferage Law.

Streetlights and Poles. Davao Light Engr. Severino Ando Jr. from Streetlights and Pole Utilities Department gives a background about streetlights and electric posts. Engr. Ando also advised the residents to give the 7-digit number of the post when reporting a defective streetlight.
