Recognizing service excellence in Davao Light's Elektrisyan ng Bayan 2017
A good performing electrician is someone who dedicates his time to give a safe and best service towards its customers. Thus, in recognition to exceptional commitment to their field of work, Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. in partnership with the Aboitiz Foundation hosted its annual Elektrisyan ng Bayan in December 2017 at the Grand Menseng Hotel in Davao City.
Electricians who performed well this 2017 were chosen and recognized in the event. This is also a great venue for strengthening camaraderie with our partners in the field, the electricians and with the different electricians association.
Various electricians from Davao Light’s seven accredited electrician organizations vied for this year’s award. But the Best Elektrisyan ng Bayan was awarded to Rogelio S. Pitogo of the United Electrician of Metro Davao. Pitogo received a cash prize amounting to Php30,000.00. Meanwhile, the 1st and 2nd runners up were Nicasio C. Oblianda and Tommy Z. Tan, respectively,who also went home with a cash prize. All of them also received electrical tools and equipment.
“We consider our electricians important as they are our partners in ensuring the safety of our customers by having quality load side works that comply with Davao Light’s standards.” said Davao Light's EVP and COO, Engr. Rodger S. Velasco.
The annual Elektrisyan ng Bayan is now on its 6th year in recognizing Davao Light's outstanding accredited electricians.
