Exactly two weeks after the discovery of the second nest, Davao Light and Power Company's Community Relations team led by Fermin Edillon found another Pawikan nest last February 8, 2017 at the Cleanergy Park, Sitio Punta Dumalag, Matina Aplaya, Davao City.
Davao Light and Power Co. employees spend time helping out with davao light's relief operation for the flood victims in the municipality of braulio e. Dujali in Davao del Norte. Davao Light donated hygiene kits and cleaning materials to 150 affected families. B. Dujali is one of the municipalities that was flooded when the five major rivers in Davao del Norte overflowed last January due to heavy rains.
Davao Light and Power Co. trained residents of Brgy. Maa through its Project Basic Electrician Skills Training (Project B.E.S.T) starting last February 6, 2017 until February 26, 2017.
Project B.E.S.T. is a community-based skills training program, which is being implemented by Davao Light in partnership with the Aboitiz Foundation Inc. and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority or TESDA-Sur/Davao City with support from JCI Central Davao. Those who finish the course and pass the assessment will be given a Certificate of Competency or National Certificate 2 (NC2).
