Davao Light's digital power substation now fully optimized

AboitizPower subsidiary, Davao Light and Power Co., Inc.’s digital substation in Calinan, Davao City is now fully optimized after completing its upgrade with an additional feeder.

Rescued pawikan returns and lays eggs at the Aboitiz Cleanergy Park

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. spotted two sea turtles at the Aboitiz Cleanergy Park in Sitio Punta Dumalag, Matina Aplaya, Davao City in the evening of May 24, 2021.


One of the sea turtles was on her way back to the sea when spotted while the other one was seen laying eggs. Apparently, the latter is “Turtle Cleanergy” as she was identified through her official tag PH0148J.

Davao Light lights up more opportunities through the e.Lab project

Davao Light turned over its 4th Electrical Laboratory (e.Lab) project in Panabo, Davao del Norte to Don Manuel Javellana Memorial National High School last May 21, 2021.


The e.Lab project aims to help schools, especially in the implementation of Senior High School (SHS), that students under the Technical Vocational Track (TVT) would be exposed to practical learning skills on Electrical Installation and Maintenance (EIM). Davao Light hopes that these students who acquired the skills can use this as a means of livelihood and promote electrical safety in their own homes.

Customers of Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. can now view their monthly electricity bill at their most convenient time through the MobileAP app.


In 2020, The AboitizPower Distribution Utilities (APDU) Group came up with an innovation to provide customers with easier access to their accounts through the mobile application called MobileAP, read as “Mobile A-P”.
