LGU of Sto Tomas receives additional support for its vaccination campaign

The month of February was made very memorable for the Municipality of Sto. Tomas as the Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) and Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. turned over donations to provide support for the vaccination program of the town.

The donation includes 1,750 vaccine doses and on top of that, Davao Light President and COO Rodger S. Velasco, handed over medical supplies and equipment, food packs, and laptops to Sto. Tomas Mayor Ernesto T. Evangelista.

We strongly believe in vaccination as an added protection during this time of pandemic. To hasten the encoding process during vaccination runs, we have also included laptops and, we have provided food packs as well for both the frontliners and the vaccinees para makadasig nga muadto gyud sa (to encourage them to go to the) vaccination center” according to Velasco.

Sto. Tomas Mayor Ernesto Evangelista extended his wholehearted gratitude and respect to the company for its continuous support to the municipality and its people.

Pasalamat gyud mi sa inyong generosity, sa inyong effort nga, nakahatag gyud mo og dako nga suporta sa Lungsod sa Sto. Tomas. Wala gyud nagpabaya sa ato ang Davao Light nga gikan sa pagbuto aning Covid, kaning kompanyaha ni wala ta pasagdi (We thank you for your generosity and for your great support to the Municipality of Sto. Tomas. Davao Light never neglected us since the beginning of COVID-19)”, he added.

On the other hand, computer equipment and gadgets were donated to Talos Elementary School, a school catering mostly to Ata Manobo Tribe children to augment their learning. These are for the use of both teachers and learners to help them keep up with the online class requirements.

Davao Light, an AboitizPower subsidiary, serves customers from the cities of Davao and Panabo as well as the municipalities of Carmen, Dujali and Sto. Tomas.
