Emergency power interruption on November 18 in different parts of Davao City

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct an emergency power interruption on Monday, November 18, affecting customers in different parts of Davao City. This is necessary to facilitate substation works at Ecoland Substation.

To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 1 hour anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.

Specifically affected are customers from portions of McArthur Highway from Bankerohan going to Alexian Brothers, a portion of Quimpo going to Boulevard, including Tulip, Juna Subdivision. Also affected are those from portions of Matina Aplaya going to corner Tulip Street, portions of the downtown area from Quirino going to Bankerohan, Magallanes Street, City Hall, SP Building, Bolton Extension, and portions of Matina Pangi Diversion Road to portions of Shrine Hills Matina, and all nearby areas.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by this emergency power interruption. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.

Safety is of paramount importance to the company and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity area/s where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
