Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Sunday, October 27, affecting customers in different parts of Davao del Norte. These are necessary to facilitate the construction of a feeder line for the new Gredu Substation.
To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 30 minutes anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. Specifically affected are customers from the Panabo City Hall, J.P. Laurel, including Panabo Gym, from San Vicente Substation to Davao Central Convenience Store, Panabo Wharf Road, and from Panabo City Integrated Bus Terminal to Maryknoll College of Panabo.
Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal set-up will be for 1 hour from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Affected customers are those from Petron fronting Panabo Central Elementary School going to Maryknoll College of Panabo.
Additionally, another normalization activity will be conducted for 30 minutes anytime between 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. affecting customers from Panabo City Hall, J.P. Laurel, including Panabo Gym, from San Vicente Substation to Davao Central Convenience Store, Panabo Wharf Road, and from Panabo City Integrated Bus Terminal to Panabo City Park.
In connection, an 8-hour power outage will be conducted from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. Specifically affected are customers from Panabo City Park to Petron fronting Panabo Central Elementary School including Panabo City Market Complex, portions of Quirino Street, Magsaysay Street, and portions of Mabitad Extension.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
