Davao Light and Power Company

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct a series of power interruptions on March 30 and April 1, 2024, Saturday and Monday, affecting customers in different parts of Davao City.

 

The switching power interruption will be for 1 hour from 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on March 30, Saturday, to facilitate the transfer of loads to nearby substations and avoid a longer power interruption. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads back to their normal set-up will be for another 1 hour from 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on April 1, Monday. These interruptions are necessary to facilitate maintenance works at the NGCP Davao Substation.

 

Specifically affected are customers along Davao-Digos Road from Harvey's Kambingan going to Gaisano Grand Toril, including a portion of Libby Road, Rasay Street, Agton Street, Lubogan, and all neighboring areas.

Also affected are those from the corner of Gempesaw Street and Ramon Magsaysay Avenue to Leon Garcia Street, Sta. Ana Avenue to Lizada Street, Boulevard to Ecoland, including Bucana, and Monteverde to Villa Abrille and neighboring areas.

 

Customers from Davao Light Maa Substation, Maa Road, Diversion Road to Jade Valley, Juliville to Tigatto, Mandug, Callawa, Indangan, and all neighboring areas, are also affected by these service disruptions.

 

Separately, another power interruption will be conducted on April 1, Monday to facilitate testing and commissioning works at ERA Substation. This will be for 1 hour anytime between 4:00 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. to facilitate the transfer of loads to nearby substations.

 

Specifically affected are those customers from Abreeza to Carmelite Bajada and all neighboring areas; the downtown area from Abreeza going to Bankerohan up to MTS including areas going to Sandawa Road including part of Bajada, Torres Street, Obrero, C. Bangoy Sr. Street, Quirino Street, and neighboring areas. Also affected are those fronting GMall Toril up to Sirawan, Baracatan, Inawayan, and neighboring areas.

 

In connection, a power interruption will be conducted for 1 hour and 30 minutes from 4:00 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. on April 1, Monday to facilitate line works. Specifically affected are customers from a portion of the downtown area from Nissan Display Center Bajada up to corner Acacia including Gaisano Mall Bajada, Guerrero Street, Mapa Street, part of N.Torres Street, Bacaca Road up to corner Diversion Road, portion of Diversion Road from Earth Grain up to corner Jade Valley and neighboring areas.

 

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.

 

Safety is of paramount importance to the company and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity area/s where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
