Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct series of short power interruptions on July 27 and 28 affecting customers in major areas of Davao City.

The service disruption on July 27, Saturday, will be for 30 minutes only anytime between 1:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m.. This will be necessary to transfer load to nearby lines to facilitate the preventive maintenance works at Davao Light’s Gaisano Substation.

Customers affected are those from Veterans Bank Claveria going to Gaisano Mall overpass up to Aguila Glass, and from Gaisano Substation up to Guerrero St. corner Magsaysay St.. This includes Gempesaw St. corner Sta. Ana Ave. up to Quirino Ave. corner Mabini St., Jacinto Ext. and Octagon Uyanguren up to Magsaysay St. corner Quezon Boulevard.

Also affected are customers in Uyanguren corner Gempesaw Street going to entire Boulevard area, specificallyfrom Salmonan Fish Market up to LTO office, including Bucana, Almendras Gym, City Hall drive up to Felcris Centrale, and Bolton Ext..

Moreover, customers along Lapu-Lapu St. from Agdao flyover up to F. Torres St. andalong J.P. Laurel Avenue from NBI Bajada office up to Aguila Glass including Dona Vicenta Village Phase 1 and some parts of Phase 2 will also experience the said service disruption.

This will also affect customers from NBI Bajada office going to diversion road that includes Bacaca Road, El Rio Vista Subdivision, Jade Valley, Woodridge Subdivision Phase 2, Southvilla Subdivision, Woodlane Subdivision and other nearby areas.

Davao Light Ponciano Office, Arellano Extension near Central Bank, part of Mabini St., back of Bajada Power Plant and nearby environs will also experience this 30-minute power interruption.

Also, on July 28, Sunday, a 15-minute power interruption, anytime between 12:01 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., will be conducted to facilitate the pole relocation of Davao Light’s 69 kV line affected by the DPWH bridge widening project.

Specifically affected are customers from Davao Light Bunawan Substation to crossing Licanan, Lasang. Also affected are customers from road going to Mahayag and Bosque up to San Isidro Piatos.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
