Nearly 50 scholars of Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light), an AboitizPower subsidiary, gathered for a Kumustahan event at the power utility’s office in C. Bangoy Sr. Street, Davao City on September 22, 2023. Some of the scholars were also recognized for graduating and recently passing the board exams of their respective courses.
One of Davao City Police Office (DCPO)’s newly established stations, Police Station 18 (PS 18), with its office along J.P. Laurel Avenue, received on September 8, two prefabricated container vans from Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) and its social development arm, Aboitiz Foundation, Inc.
Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light), an Aboitiz Power Corporation (AboitizPower) subsidiary, with the participation of Philippine Vice President (VP) and Education Secretary Sara Duterte-Carpio, oversaw the release of 152 hawksbill sea turtle hatchlings on September 12 at Aboitiz Cleanergy Park in Punta Dumalag, Matina Aplaya, Davao City.
The released turtle hatchlings came from the third of five nests found this year at the park. In total, 7,933 hatchlings have been released from the area since 2014.
Samahan ng may iba't-ibang Kakayahan sa Dabaw (SAKADAB) received on September 8, its fully renovated production facility at the Gawad Kalinga (GK) community in Los Amigos, Tugbok, Davao City.
"We are very grateful and we appreciate all the things that you have done just to make our lives comfortable and sustainable… Using our talents and skills so that in the future, we can stand on our own,” said Mirasol Magalasin, SAKADAB President during the turnover ceremony held at the facility.
