Davao Light is one of the first Philippine-based electric distribution utilities to be certified with the ISO 55001:2014, an asset management system standard that aims to check the processes of organizations in effectively managing the lifecycle of their assets. “This is truly a milestone for AboitizPower, specifically Davao Light being one of the first distribution utilities in the Philippines to be certified, we are proud to share this momentous achievement with them,” said Romero Zamora, Managing Director of DQS in the Philippines, during the awarding of certificates held in Cebu City on May 30, 2023.

Over sixty households in the four sitios of Barangay Magsaysay, Carmen, Davao del Norte are now completely energized as part of the Sitio Electrification Program (SEP) of the AboitizPower subsidiary, Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light), the Local Government Unit of Carmen, and the Department of Energy - Region XI.

The overall power rate of Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) continues to decrease from P11.14 last April to P10.04 this May. This translates to a P211.76 difference from the previous billing of households whose average monthly electricity consumption is 200 kilowatt-hours (kWh).
